Planning

While surrounded by boxes filled with all our prized possesions, and the closing date of April 27, 2006 fast approaching, we have been consumed (to say the least) with all the details involved in the recent purchase of our first house. Wading into unfamiliar waters, we have certainly learned a lot in the last few months. Along with the advice and guidence of our parents, friends, and the (how did we ever live without it) internet, we have managed to arrange most of the necessities involved in new home ownership.

With of all the formalities now taken care of we can focus on our renovations. We have begun the planning process by flipping through design magazines for ideas and inspiration, visiting various bathroom, kitchen and furniture showrooms (not to mention taking notice of design details and fixtures in almost every place we have recently visited). Although comfortable and on relatively similar pages in our contemporary design taste, we have decided to meet with an interior designer in mid-May for professional input.
